Oh no to Horray

Oh no, being sick prevented me from being at school for the past three days and oh my, the work i missed is crazy! I have a lot to do these holidays. I will need to contact my classmates to ask about the notes I don't have.

On the other hand... oh my god! It's finally the holidays! Winter breaks is the time you can use to spend with your family. I'm going to use these days off so that I can just sit back and relax before the new year begins. I have many new year resolutions and I hope I will succeed in completing them.

Horray for holidays!
Hope everyone has a great winter break!

Hurray!

My computer is finally working properly with the internet connection again! Thanks to my dad and uncle who took the time to fix it just for my purposes.

Any who, yesterday was a simple day where we had our second programming test. I felt I did very good on the front side because I was familiar with what the questions were asking me to explain. But unfortunately I didn't do so well on the back side because I couldn't understand what to do! Bad news aside, I'm sure that I did much better on this test than our first one.

After our test, Mr. Arkin showed us a program he created for our graphics unit. I feel this is going to be an exciting unit because we'll be learning how to create different shapes, colours in shapes, actions and music in our programs. I'm very excited!

Work It!

Extremely tiring day today!
Mr. Arkin introduced us to some programmer-defined functions. We learnt how to write algorithms in this cool code called the pseudocode with the keywords function and result. I'm sure tomorrow I'll be able to show that I completely understand this topic. I'm really trying better this term! It's in me; I know I can do it!

Anyways, today is my free night. I'm going to use it with the most beautiful thing to do: sleep

Good night everyone!

Mr. Arkin is back!

Even though today's class was only 45 minutes long, it felt like the full class because we still learned a lot! Mr. Arkin was able to come to class today to go over our substrings, and started talking about counted loops. We also found out about the two new keywords: for and decreasing.

Anything else to say? Nope, I don't think so!

Hopefully tomorrow Mr. Arkin will go over some more substrings just so we have a little better understanding of it before our quiz/test!

Anyways, off to bed! Good night!

Supply Teacher [Day 2]

Again not much to say:

Today we continued working on our assignments (finishing up repititions, beggining substrings... which I'm having a little trouble in).

I HAVE A FRENCH UNIT TEST TO STUDY FOR! It's 6:50 right now and I'm already procrasinating because I'm very tired, I want to sleep, but I can't because of the homework and studying I need to start on! Sad, sad, sad...

Anyways, BYE!

Supply Teacher [Day 1]

Sorry I don't have much time to write what exactly what we did... but here it is in a nutshell:

We had a supply and were told to catch up on work and begin the Substrings unit. It was literally a free period for working and I made good use of it.

Anyways, not much more to say... so I'll write tomorrow!

Goodnight!

BUSY weekend!

Oh my goodness. There is so much work to do!
Yesterday was the Girls About Girls sleepover for girls in grade 9 hosted by grade 10 and 11 girls. It was a huge success and all the girls there became close because of it. There were a lot of activities that help us build confidence and get a little open with our group(s). I really enjoyed it!

Right after I came home this morning from school, I had a dentist appointment. Then, because it was my cousin's birthday, our other cousins and I thought it would be nice to take her out to the mall and buy her a really nice present. After that we got pizza and went to one of their houses to just relax and watch a movie. Truly a very fun evening!

I was pretty much out all day yesterday and today, so tomorrow will be my homework procrasinating day. Hopefully I'll succeed in that as well.

Goodnight !

It's important to know what's expected from you...

For each subject, the teacher had their own expectations from their students. It's our job to help them and show them that we're understanding their hard work in teaching us these things.

Today Mr. Arkin kindly went over the three skills of being a successful programmer. It was helpful to me because now before I finish my work, I will be able to double check and make sure it fits well for those three steps. We also thought about alternatives for assignment 8. After that, the typical routine: individual work.

Oh my god! Next week I have a test for ICS, a unit test for french, and then a quiz for science... this is going to be a headache of a weekend.

On a personal note, I feel that I'm doing much better than before in all my classes because I'm actually trying to pay attention and ask questions whenever I'm confused. I also take help from my classmates and other students in different classes who also have that subject this semester. I hope I do much better in my classes now. I'm confident I will succeed!

Bye for now!

Learning a new thing everyday

Today we were taught about array. It's a keyword in the Turing program and is an index type and is used for when you are "getting" more than one information of a certain thing (for example price). Now we had to use that information that we learnt about array and modify repitition assignment 12 for homework.

I need to fix up my assignments! I have everything, but I just need to know if they are correct. So right now, I'm consulting with people from my class and other classes that have grade 9 ICS.

I'm almost done my homework right now!

No idea what creative title I should put for today...

So once I reached home, I feel asleep for about half an hour. I am completely washed out!

This morning I had to wake up early to go to school and write a missed unit test for science. Once I came into ICS class, I sat on my computer and worked on my repitition assignments... tried fixing them up properly. After a little while, Mr. Arkin called us back to our desks to write notes on his final assesment of the printer comparison project. He reviewed what we were told to do, what most of us did (or didn't), and generously made a webpage for it himself so that we can see what a model answer should have been for this project.

The rest of my day went busy. After ICS class, I had english and I was told that me and four three other people were to do a make-up test today. I was freaking out, until Stephanie kindly told me that Ms. Fisher (my english teacher) won't be giving the test today; I will be doing the test on Friday due to presentations that need to be done tomorrow and Thursday. I breathed a sigh of relief and just like the rest of my class, worked on the project that is due tomorrow.

For science class, I had to do a presentation with my group about our deforestation project. It went alright... could've been way better if we actually practiced together and tried memorizing more of what we wrote in our powerpoint. In my opinion, other groups did a much better job in presenting their human impacts on environments.

French class... well French is French, nothing out of the ordinary today. To be honest, I'm starting to actually understand whatever we're learning much better than before. I'm able to ask proper questions and finish my homework without complaining.

Now I've wrote a lot, and I'd like to finish my homework so...
BYE FOR NOW!

Too much to do

Today we started class off with a small assessment on our opinions on ICS. We were to write what should continue happening in class, what should be stopped or shouldn't happen often, and what improvements should there be.

Then we worked individually on our repetition assignments and were assigned the Printer Comparison HTML project to do over this long weekend.

I have so much homework this weekend. It's sad because I expected this long weekend to be peacefully... boy, was I wrong!

Anyways, I'm going to take some rest now and start on my homework tomorrow.

Good night everyone <3

Patience is a good virtue...

Today was a little hard for me for some unknown reason. I wasn't feeling too good all day and the weather was just too gloomy! I had to go home early from ICS class, but before I left we were doing desk-checking and peer-editing of our assignment 6 with a partner. I found a few mistakes in mine, but once I reached home, I was able to fix them up.

IB is some hard stuff... no, I didn't JUST notice (if that's what some of you are thinking). I'm trying so hard to be patient and work harder for all my classes, but once I start doing better in one subject, the other subject falls behind! Time management is a big thing. I've signed up for peer tutoring and I hope that can somewhat help me do better and get more support in my work. So far I'm sure no one is going to be happy with my marks on my mid-term. I myself am quite disappointed.

Let's see how this goes...

Missed Blogs!

Oh no, I don't like when I can't write in my blog for my days. Sorry for the inconvenience, readers. My Internet had been going on and off for the past couple days and it's really annoying! I'll try my best to write in the blogs from a different computer.

Today I was at home because of Eid and right now I'm at a party!

Hopefully I can write more tomorrow.

Back to work!

After Wednesday's test, everyone was a little stunned by how quick we got back on track with our programming work. Today we were taught about repitition. It's actually a pretty cool thing to learn for Turing!

Repitition is pretty much what you think it would be: repeating words/ numbers. We were taught how to create simple programs that go in an order of numbers slowly (or speedy depending on the DELAY constant integer you put). It was actually quite interesting. I can't wait to start on the repitition assignments! Personally I feel it may be a little more interesting than the other (input and selection) assignments that we've done.

I'm going to party like an animal now, so I guess it's time for my good bye!

BYE, AND HAVE AN AMAZING WEEKEND EVERYONE!

TEST!

Oh no! I didn't do good even though I thought the test was quite easy for my class' level. We worked on our test most of the class, and for the rest of the class we had silent reading.

Not much to say about ICS class today. There may be more tomorrow! I'm working on studying for a science quiz right now, so I guess I'll be writing more tomorrow!

STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!

Oh no... it's time! We're going to have our first major test tomorrow on everything that we have learnt so far in this Turing unit. I'm really worried, and that's why I'm going to start my studying right now.

Today we began class with questions (as usual) but I guess the worried looks on everyone's faces was explanatory for the many questions we had. After that, we were taught about 2 more terms in Turing and have homework pertaining that.

I'm a little busy right now, so I can't write much today! Sorry, reader(s)!
Hopefully I'll get a passing mark for this test tomorrow.

I WISH EVERYONE GOOD LUCK!

She sells sea shells by the sea shore :)

Well today was quite a simple day... very unexpected for a Monday morning.

Our class started with presentations. We had to do an analysis of selection number 6, write it on chart paper with a partner, and then present it to the class! Osama and I got a little behind in writing down all the information we wrote on a different piece of paper, to the chart paper. We presented a few notes of what we noticed in this assignment because we were the last group to present. It wasn't too bad for us because after everyone presented, we were allowed to write down information groups wriiten from the other classes! When we came back into class, we had to switch our codes for selection number 7 with our partners so that we can correct some things in the code. When we got our own codes back, we went to our computers and fixed up anything we've missed.

Hopefully tomorrow it will be another simple day! I think I'm going to talk to Mr.Arkin to help me a little to understand a few concepts for the test on Wednesday. Oh, I'm really worried...

YAY!

Today's class went pretty good for me. I was completely ready with my things for the ICS binder check Mr. Arkin was going to do. I was one of the first 3 people that got their binders checked, and I was quite happy with the mark. 8/10 is not that bad considering I'm trying so much harder than I did in the beggining of the year. The only problem was that I didn't have my HTML / CSS code printouts! Boo hoo.

During class, we got into groups of three (or two in my case) and we had to do an analysis on selection number 6. We were instructed to identify the many things in the code (prompts, constants, if statements, etc;). Osama and I worked hard to highlight all the different types of things there were in the code, but we weren't able to copy it down onto the big sheet before class ended. Hopefully we have time on Monday!

We hardly had homework today so I guess this is going to be my free weekend! YAY!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Tiring Days

Even though this week started off a little easier, by today, my day was very difficult.

Yesterday I didn't write in my blog because I was tired from "working" all day! I got to go to my mom's office, SOCAN, and learn about how there's more to just listening to music. There are many situations that some singers get into and one of them will be not being given full credit / pay for their performances. SOCAN helps those singers / song writers / producers get their real credits for creating their music. My mom works in the concerts department where the workers find out about concerts that the members of SOCAN hold in Canada, and they get to go to those concerts to see what songs are sung and who needs to get what credit. There's a lot of research and pain that goes into all this, but this job really helps.
In the morning, the office set up a little tour for the kids who came with their parents, and we got to see the people at work! We went to all the departments (atleast 3 departments on each one of the 6 floors) and saw how each department does their own little part in this big helpful scheme.

Overall yesterday was a really fun day!
Today was a little harsh on me, probably because I had a lot going on in my little mind. I hope I can concentrate better tomorrow and next week.

I'm trying, I'm trying, I'm trying!

Mr. George Boole's Birthday!

Today was a simple Tuesday. Thankfully we had enough time to write notes in addition to what we've learnt about the if ladders. Today was also George Boole's birthday! George Boole was an English mathematician and a philosopher. He is the creator of the Boolean logic which is a complete system for logical operations that is now used in the Turing program. Thanks to him, we're able to show different operations (addition, subtraction, greater than, etc;) in our programs!

Anyways, I need to finish my selection work tonight (hopefully) so that I don't have homework left until tomorrow!

I'll write about my day at my mom's work place tomorrow!

Je suis tres fatigue!

This week was really crazy busy. A lot of homework everyday and a lot of disturbing nights. I got a lot of work done, and understood everything I was doing!

Yesterday I came to class late because of a doctor's appointment in the morning. Sat down for about 5 minutes, opened my file for selection 5 on Turing, and then the announcment came for photo retakes. I felt sad I couldn't ask anybody to help me for the rest of the class because I was in the huge line for photo retakes.
Last night it was my little cousin's birthday party! She wanted a few of her older cousins to come and help out in arranging "a really cool birthday party to show my friends how cool my older cousins are", so I felt like I had to be a part of it. I was there since right after I reached home from school, to about 11 at night.

Sadly I couldn't write in my blog last night itself, so I'm doing it right now.

This weekend is jam-packed as well! Hopefully I'll be able to finish all my homework right now, and then have all the fun I want for the rest of the day and Sunday.

Since I don't write in my blogs on weekends, I'd just like to say a huge:
HAAAPPPPPYYYY HAAALLLOOOWEEEENNNN EVVEEERYYYONNNEEE!
^ Yes, I'm aware that that is not the way you spell "Happy Halloween Everyone!", but it is when you're really excited like me!

Getting Better?

This week has been quite a good turn out. I worked really hard to understand each concept properly and asked as many questions to avoid any confusions I would have at home while im during my homework. I think I'm trying harder now because I'm getting used to the routine (finally) and I hope I continue to take some real interest in this.

Today my science class went to Rouge Valley so I missed all my classes, but was back for the last 15 mintues of computer science. In that time, I was given a quiz about what we've recentely learned about: selection in programming.

My mom went for the interviews alone because I was really tired and in pain due to my little fall while climbing up a huge, steep hill. Unfortunately I wasn't the only one who slipped or fell down. Anyways, once I came home, I took a nice shower and fell asleep, while my mom went to the interview and heard about my progress in my classes. She told me exactly what my teachers have said and I understand their concerns. I feel that I could do so much better now because my confidence is finally kicking in! I hope I'm able to proove myself fit for IB and I hope I succeed.

Anyways, I'm still feeling a little pain, so I'm going to get some shut-eye again and write tomorrow.

Goodnight!

Selections!

Yesterday's homework was questions 1 and 2 from the selection link on touque.ca. Today we took up our findings and elaborated and how each part of it works in what way. That really helped me to understand what I was actually doing rather than just doing it without any knowledge on it.
Homework for today would be selections 1 - 7! I understand some parts, but others are still a blur. Hopefully I'll be able to go to Mr. Arkin soon and get a little more better understanding of it.

Tomorrow I'm going to be on a trip to Rougue Valley with my science class! It's going to be great! I'm done all my homework, and now I'm going to just relax and let my sleep eventually take over me.

I'll write about my trip tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Bye! <3

Good day!

Today was a really nice, late-start, Tuesday. Even though our ICS class was short, I learnt a lot about the operators, the Boolean expressions, and a few more words for using in Turing.

We were taught about two different operators: arithmetic and relational. We also learnt about program controlling. Have you ever heard about the Boolean expression? Well, it's the different types of operations in the operator. Sounds weird, huh? I thought that too! Program controlling is split into three parts: sequence, selection, and repitition. The one Mr. Arkin elaborated on was selection.

Alot of information written down for today, and now I shall start on my homework!

Ready to learn?

Today about 7 students were late to ICS class this morning. Ofcourse nobody wants to miss this class because it's actually quite interesting. We all have our slow mornings, traffic, bad moods, or emergencies that slow us down and make us late. Personally I will try my best to reach my class more earlier in the morning and I'll be ready to learn.

We learnt about how to trace the execution (desk checking) for our assignments and we were told to practice it at home. I'm confused! I was aware of what we did in class, but I'm not quite sure what "desk checking" really is. Right now I'm trying out what we did in class today on Turing.

More to say tomorrow!

My days have just started...

Mr. Arkin revised our assingments with us today and also showed us how to colour code our programs! It was actually pretty cool to learn about how it works. It was a little confusing (as usual) but it was alright. I'm getting a little quicker in understanding the concept of this now, and I'm on my 3rd question for the input assignment right now and I'm trying my best to do it on my own...

Anyways, it's finally Friday and I'm going to relax a little with my friends soon.

HAPPY WEEKEND <3

Hm...

I have no clue why my yesterday's blog post got deleted, but anywho...
Today was my 'catching up' period and I was able to understand the assignment better. I talked to my classmates and tried to understand each concept.

Anyways, I have alot of homework to do, and I don't feel too well right now. I'll write more tomorrow.

SUPER POWERS!

We got our marks back from Mr.Arkin on how we did for our super-power autobiographies. I didn't do as well as I thought I could've done. I'm atleast glad that I understand the concept of it now, and when I get another chance, I will do much better (hopefully)! Everyone tried their best and that's all that matters: how much you care about what you learn. Mr. Arkin was nice enough to go throught some of the comments he wrote for some people and explained what the situation was.

Homework, homework, homework...

I shall beg your pardon and disappear in thin air to finish my homework!

Late starts = less work !

Today due to a late start AND school pictures, we weren't able to completely finish sharing our ideas on the programming homework from last night. I'm actually still very confused about all of this because of my one week off last week. I tried my best to understand the concept and the homework, but obviously I wasn't able to even start on it.

Right now I'm experimenting with the random notes I have about Turing.

Oh, I'm so confused...

I was away for all of last week which has resulted in me having a confused brain! Today we learnt how to make a converter program. From centimeters - inches, there was alot of in between work to do :P I hardly understood the terms that were being used to create the different elements(?) of the program using Turing. Hopefully I'll catch up real soon and get back onto track.

Right now I need to go outside, so I'll write more tomorrow :)

Programming!

Today we learnt about the keywords we should use in Turing (a program which allows us to create our own programs). The keywords we learned are terms we would generally use to create our program.
For example:
put "hi, my name is zainab!" = hi, my name is zainab (when you click "Run")
put = instructs the computer to move the cursor to the next line and start from the beginning.

Right now I'm very tired and I can't write more. I have a unit test for science tomorrow, so I need a little rest before I sit and study for 5 hours :P

Party Party Party!

FINNAALLLYYY we're done the HTML and CSS codes and stuff. That was actually some great work. Now we're going to be learning about programming. Personally, I feel that it's going to be a little more complicated than learning about webpage designs. We'll see what happens.

Tomorrow is going to be a great partaaaay for our hard work on our webpages! I can't wait!

*Oh oh! I forgot I left this open and I didn't save it like 5 hours ago. Oh well, I'm really tired right now. Need some good night's rest!

Oh la la, I know how to create jibberish! Actually, my title up there is in something called the Binary Code. It's all the characters of that sentance, put into an 8-bit code using the number 0 and 1. Crazy huh? Yes, and very confusing as well. It took me a long while to actually understand the whole concept properly, but the worksheet Mr. Arking handed out today during class really helped me out.

As usual, I'm polishing up my webpage right now, and then I need to study for a french test, and work hard on a science project!

Oh, Binary Code...

Today we learned about 4 more definitions for words in our Basic Computer Glossary. We also learned how to understand the binary code! I didn't know what it all represented when I saw it like 3 years ago on some news chanel focusing on a technical story, but now thankfully I do. We learned the numbers 1 - 12 (000 0000, 000 0001, and so on). Noting that the lowest number possible is 000 0000, and the highest 111 1111, we were able to find how many unique codes there can be made using this 7-bit code (128). Personally I like it better when our class learns like this because we're able to ask each other questions right away and are able to understand better when Mr. Arkin is teaching us on the spot. While using computers, I've noticed in class it gets a little distracting, but at the same time very helpful (if we use our time wisely).

I'm going to go finish my other homework now :)

Blah, Blah, Blah

I didn't know what to make my title :P Sorry readers!

Today we discussed the proper definitions of a monitor, file, directory, root, secondary storage, primary storage, RAM, ROM, bit, byte, and the binary code. We learned about the diference between how a secondary storage operates, and how a primary storage operates. We also learned about how to calculate the amount of 1s or 0s needed in a binary code for each 'byte'.

Many words, many definitions, many ways of understanding... all equals to some confused faces! As usual, we tried our best to understand each word properly. Personally, I was a little fusturated at how to understand the words. When I got home, I had to revise all the words myself and search them up on the internet to get a more thorough understanding. It's alright, I know it's not only me in the whole class that has to review the words to actually get it. As a class, we're actually getting better each day and getting more confortable with our computer science learning environment. I've made alot of new friends since the beggining of the year, and I feel I've gotten a hang on the IB train ;)

Anyways, I need to finish my homework! I'll be back tomorrow!

Whoops, Forgot Friday :/

On Friday it was my little cousin's birthday and I was busy planning. He's such a cutie! We made a great party and had so much fun.

So for Period A, Mr. Arkin reviewed more words with us and let us write down the definitions. We also had to vote for either Lyssa or Naeem for class rep and congratz to Lyssa for winning :)

Right now I'm finishing up some last minute changes to my webpages; Busy, busy weekend!

Hope to see everyone tomorrow! :D

Goodbye First Month of School :)

The confusion of yesterday was quite... confusing to undo. As a class, Mr. Arkin showed us how to restart our Filezilla and save our work into it again. Then he told us how we need to make another glossary for basic computer terms. I had to go take my picture so I wasn't able to know what he wanted us to do for homework.
I contacted some of my classmates and asked about what we had to do, so now I'm done all my homework and I'm ready to sleep :)

All Work !

Today's class was pretty much an "All work, no excuses" period. We had to write down any missing computer terms so that we can add to our glossary. I'm keeping 32 words on my glossary :)

This is how my glossary works:
4 sites - each site has 8 definitions :)

WAIT WHY ISN'T FILE ZILLA ALLOWING ME TO LOGIN ?!
oh no , oh oh ................................... :S
This is bad, this is really bad!

Workin' Harder, Movin' Faster (:

Oh my gosh. I can't believe how much amazing work all the students in my class and I have been doing! Now that we know what Mr. Arkin expects from us, it's easier for us to help each other out on the parts we're stronger at. I did a great job so far with my Glossary webpage and I'm proud of myself! I guess my hard work of learning about all this was really worth it.

I'm finishing up my Glossary webpage right now, and I've noticed that it isn't too hard to change all the definitions we found from the internet to our own words. This is because now since September is almost done, we've concentrated and stressed on these words! I guess we kinda figured what each word might mean because we're now more confortable with these terms.

We're workin' harder; movin' ahead faster!
Good Lucckk Everryonnee (:

oh blogger, blogger, blogger -_-

I just woke up from my mercy nap remembering that I didn't get time to write in my blog for Monday.
Oh my eyes ...

Anyways... So Monday wasn't a bad day. I tried my full best to understand everything Mr.Arkin was saying about ordered, unordered, and definition links. This is what I remember:

ordered * numbers * - <ol>
unorder * bullets * - <ul>
definition * definitions * - <dl>

For homework, we had to create another webpage for all the words we've written so far in our Glossary. We needed to find all the definitions of each word and write the source we found the definition from.

Let's see how well my site looks.

Final Copies :O

Thankfully today my hand wasn't hurting as much as yesterday. While slowly healing, I was still able to finish my final copy of the site. I don't think I did too amazing, but I tried my best to follow everything I remember being taught. I mean it's not like I'll use things I didn't remember learning about. We'll see what happens with my site. I hope I did really good for this site because it took alot of my patience which to be honest, I don't have much of :P

I tried my best to work hard on this site. It was actually interesting. I won't lie and say it was fun, because I got fustrated many times and just shut the whole computer down! Just yesterday my css wasn't validating no matter what I fixed. After what felt like the billionth time, I finally got everything validated and i felt like a million bucks ;)

Let's See How Well We All Do !

All My Missed Blogs :(

*sigh* I feel lonely without finishing to write in my blog about my days.
Monday I was feeling really sick and couldn't finish my blog. Tuesday afternoon my left hand got slammed between doors. Wednesday I had to go to the doctors and hospital to check my hand, so I missed school that day.
Now we reach today: THURSSDAAY !! I'm trying my best to write as much as possible but I still have alot of my pain in my left hand. Today we were given all class time to work and finish our Super-powers Autobiography which is due tomorrow by 10pm :P
So now I'm going to finish my autobio and take some rest with my hand.

Tiring Day :/

Today was quite interesting. We didnt have much to do. I'm happy I already have my validated HTML and CSS, and that's why today in class we had time to start on our autobiographies and fix up our index pages. Before using our computers, we learnt about special characters entities. I'm still a little confused on what this is for. I try following along to Mr. Arkin in class, but it's not always too easy.

I guess i gotta try harder. Let's see how I figure out what we're supposed to do ... by the end of the weekend :P

That's all I can say for today's class... I'll write more monday i guess.

Oh, there's a CSS validator? :S

Just when I thought I was completely done my webpage and can start on my Super-power Autobiography, I was reminded that I need validate all my CSS's too! So that took me another half an hour at home trying find out what errors I had to fix with my CSS files. Well finally I finished that off and now have both those W3C stickers :) you know computers hit you hard when your site is COMPLETELY validated... im floatin' on cloud nine !

Well that just means I have more work to start on. I need ideas on making myself seem amazing for my Super-powers Autobiography. I wanna seem interesting ! :P well I'm not worried about that, I'm cool as human, so I could be double cool as a super hero right? ;) we'll find out when I'm done that part!

*sigh* This is the first night that I finished my homework before 12am :$ ... I'm proud of myself. I mean, since school started, I was raided with IB work overloading, but I guess that's how it's gonna be! I can't wait to see what else comes my way. FINAALLLYYYY I can get my full sleep tonight.

Validating The Wild ;)

Today we were taught on how to validate our sites properly. That meant we had to find the link from our ICS class website, browse to our index.html file, and then check for our errors. Apparentely my site had ALOT of errors, so now I'm sitting here fixing every little thing there is to be fixed! 'Kay, you know how much that is? Crazy me... well atleast i'm learning something. I guess all this takes is patience. I'm also seeing how the webpages our class are making right now are original; we aren't using another site to create it. I mean, I've used neopets and piczo to create little sites when I was younger. Now I notice that's NOTHING. All of this we're learning right now teaches us how to make sites from scrap! I'm trying to keep my patience :P

*sigh* Alrighhtt, that's all for tonight. I think this is the most I've ever written! Well, today I had alot to say, and I'm seeing how alot of my classmates (and now my new good friends) are actually making their blogs look proper! Alot of detail, which personally, I think I suck at at the moment. No worries, highschool is all about making new changes and creating a new image in a new school :)

*Tuesday, September 14th, 2010 - So Much Work :P

I was given alot of homework tonight, and I'm really tired right now! BUT, since I'm on the computer anyways, I thought I'd write in my amazing blog :)
Soo, today in ICS we learnt how to move our index.html & basic.css into Filezilla where it would automatically be put on the worldwide web! I had a little trouble finding out how exactly I would be able to get there, but once I got home, I knew exactly what I had to do.
I hope my site works good !

Making Sites Go Worldwide !

Today we learnt about to put our webpage on the worldwide web using our previous knowledge of how to create a webpage. It was a little confusing, and now I'm here right now trying to remember all the notes on how this works! I'm trying alot of different ways, trying to remember how Mr. Arkin showed us ... let's see how well I can achieve my goal :)

Supply Teacher

Today wasn't too bad at all actually. I liked working with my classmates. We all were a little confused in the beggining on how to create our HTML links, but after we talked with everyone, we were more clearer and helped each other out. The supply teacher was really nice :)

First Full Day of ICS2O7

I actually don't know what to write :P ... but here I am trying:

Today's class was a little confusing. Mr.Arkin taught us how to create and fix-up a website. I tried understanding some things, but other things are still a little out of place for me. I guess once I start to get more interested in this course, I'll be able to understand much better. I think learning about how websites are made is important, and learning about HTML & CSS connects to that.

Other than that, today's class wasn't too bad... I can't wait to get more comfortable with everyone :)
